The UrFU Summer Schools make it possible to receive new knowledge in your academic field, to master Russian language and to familiarize yourself with the Russian lifestyle and unique culture. 

The Schools are held in July – August and last for 2 or 3 weeks. The lectures are held both by UrFU professors and by invited experts. Participants of UrFU Summer Schools receive certificates of completion.

In 2012 UrFU offers the following schools:

• 'Russian Studies in Real Russia'. The school programme includes courses in social, political and cultural studies, alongside with the intensive training in Russian language. The Schools is managed jointly by the Institute of Social and Political Sciences, and the Institute of Humanities and Arts.Institute of Humanities and Arts
• 'KGB: Knowledge Generates Business'. The school is supported by DAAD programme 'Go East 2012' with a special stipendy for German participants. The school programme includes courses in entrepreneurship and management (partuicularly about how to do business in Russia), and the courses of Russian language. The school is managed by the Institute of Public Administration and Entrepreneurship.

• 'Sustainable Business Development: IT, Innovations, Strategies'. The School facilitates the exchange of knowledge in the field of sustainable business development and information technologies in business. It also include participation at Ural innovation fair 'INNOPROM 2012'.  The School is organized jointly by the Graduate School of Economics and Management and the Institute of Radioelectronics and Information Technologies.
• 'Corporate Communications'. The school is supported by DAAD programme 'Go East 2012' with a special stipendy for German participants. The school is managed by the Institute of Public Administration and Entrepreneurship.
