UrFU Innovative System summed up the results of the first five-year plan

Awards for contribution to development of innovative activity of the university received the institute directors, business executives, partners, directors of innovation centers, etc.

The ceremony was held on Wednesday, December 23, in the hall of the Scientific Library of Ural Federal University. It is a traditional event organized by UrFU Innovative System to celebrate the best innovators. The ceremony gathered the directors of a number of institutes and their deputies for Science and Innovation, heads of innovation centers, innovative projects and enterprises with the participation of the university, representatives of the partners.

According to preliminary data, in 2015, the university received more than 400 million rubles on the development of innovative activity from various sources. Income from the sale of innovative products is reaching 450 million rubles. It is planned to bring to market products and services of already working innovative centers and establish new ones, including UrFU Model factory, "McKinsey" and OMZ, as well as centers of chemical and pharmaceutical technologies. In 2016 it is planned to carry out the technical start of the Cyclotron Centre of Nuclear Medicine, include the practice of innovation in basic educational programs of the university, to strengthen ties with the industrial partners.

According to the results of professional competition the winner in the nomination "Leader of sales" is a small innovative enterprise "Liteynoe proizvodstvo UBM", headed by Igor Furman (the enterprise earned about 25 million rubles). "Breakthrough of the Year" for the best dynamics among innovative projects and companies is a small innovative enterprise "Tehnovizor", in whose capital has recently been joined by the Development Fund for UrFU Innovations.

The personal nomination «Super Star», dedicated to the people who created the most significant event or opened a new direction in innovative activities of the university, won a director of UrFU Center for Educational Technologies and Staffing, Elena Bespamyatnykh. The center introduced a unique technology of educational consulting, which was widely used in one of the enterprises of concern "Almaz-Antey".

For the most dynamic development among innovative centers in the nomination “Points of growth” the experts awarded UrFU Center of the Radiation Sterilization, headed by Sergey Bazhukov. And one of the most effective innovation activities was shown by the Director of the Institute of Physics and Technology, Vladimir Rychkov.

Following one of the traditions of UrFU Innovative System, the participants were able to try themselves in the unusual activity. This time, they were invited to sing acapella with the art group "Vital Voices", which provided pre-holiday festive mood.
