The most successful projects are summer schools for foreigners

On the final day of the seminar XV conference of the Project 5-100 the representatives of universities discussed their cooperation with foreign universities.

In particular, one of the discussion was related to the joint project with the associations of universities - Conference of Italian Rectors, FAUBAI and KAFSA. The representatives of Tomsk State University, Higher School of Economics and Saint Petersburg National Research University of Information Technologies, Mechanics and Optics described the projects as the comprehensive ones, which include not only the student and academic staff exchanges, but also cultural events. The projects also suggest the opening of English-language training programs, organization of international weeks and even establishig offices abroad.

One of the formats of cultural and educational cooperation is summer school. The Vice-Rector for International Relations of Ural Federal University Maxim Khomyakov noted that nowadays summers schools are the most successful projects. One of the summer schools, organized in collaboration with Brazilian universities, is held in St. Petersburg, and is coordinated by three participants of the Project 5-100 - Higher School of Economics, Saint Petersburg National Research University of Information Technologies, Mechanics and Optics and the St. Petersburg State Polytechnic University. We would like to remind that Ural Federal University also conducts summer schools, for example, the annual school in the field of social and political sciences “Russian Studies in Real Russia”.
