Five university teams made it into the semifinals

On October 22, Ural Federal University hosted the main stage of the 41st world championship on programming for students. 20 teams were given the right to participate in the semi-finals, which will be held on December 3-4 in ITMO (St. Petersburg). The list for the teams included

five teams from UrFU, four from South Ural State University, two from Ufa State Aviation Technical University and Izhevsk State Technical University, one team from Industrial University of Tyumen, Tyumen, Orenburg and Udmurt State Universities and Perm Branch of Higher School of Economics.

UrFU team Charmander (Kirill Borozdin, Vladimir Leskov, Alexey Kungurtsev) took the second place. The first place went to the students of Perm University.

Ural Federal University is one of the leading universities in Russia founded in 1920. UrFU is located in Yekaterinburg, the capital of the Ural region, an economic, industrial, scientific and cultural center of Russia. The university is the project office of the Ural Interregional Research and Education Center "Advanced Industrial Technologies and Materials" designed for solving tasks of "Science" National Project.
