Fitch Ratings has revised Outlook to Stable

Foreign experts appreciate the state support of the university

International rating agency Fitch Ratings improved the rating outlook of Ural Federal University to stable. As stated in the report, the reason for revision was the change in Russia's sovereign rating.

On October 14, the agency has upgraded Russia's Long-Term Issuer Default Ratings (IDR) to 'BBB-' and revised its outlook from "negative" to "stable".

Fitch notes that the change in Russia's sovereign rating will affect the rating of the issuer. Reducing links with the state or decreasing state support by the change of institutions’ legal status may also lead to a decrease in the ratings of issuers.

Ural Federal University is one of the leading universities in Russia founded in 1920. UrFU is located in Yekaterinburg, the capital of the Ural region, an economic, industrial, scientific and cultural center of Russia.
