Indonesian Ambassador offered university scholarships

Mohamad Wahid Supriyadi noted the growing interest of Indonesia to Russia, particularly in the educational and scientific fields

Indonesian Ambassador to Russia Mohamad Wahid Supriyadi visited Ural Federal University, met with the representatives of the university administration, had an excursion to the Research and Education Center "Nanotechnology and nanomaterials" and delivered a lecture for students majoring in International Relations.

Supriyadi noted the growing interest of Indonesia to Russia, particularly in the educational and scientific fields. The ambassador proposed the establishment of scholarships for students of Ural Federal University, studying the language and culture of Indonesia.

UrFU Rector Viсtor Koksharov said that the staff of the International Service and Scientific Unit are going to visit Indonesia in March 2017 in order to establish contacts in the field of research and recruit students.

Reference

There are 10 students from Indonesia studying at UrFU now. The university has cooperation agreements with two Indonesian universities. The representatives of UrFU meet with their colleagues from Indonesia at international forums and exhibitions throughout the year.
