University entered the top-300 of BRICS Ranking for the second time

The university has improved positions on such indicators as research, internationalization and links with businesses

Ural Federal University entered the top 300 of Times Higher Education BRICS & Emerging Economies Rankings for the second time. UrFU is in the group 201-250.

The rector of Ural Federal University Victor Koksharov underlined that the university improved positions on such indicators as research, internationalization and relations with the enterprises of the real sector of the economy. The participation of the university in THE BRICS & Emerging Economies Rankings is a significant achievement.

According to experts, the rating includes a number of new countries: Latvia, Tunisia, Bulgaria, Croatia, Northern Cyprus, the Philippines and Sri Lanka. It also includes new universities, which had never submit their data before. Some of them took high positions in the ranking thanks to excellent academic reputation and strong scientific schools.

Ural Federal University is one of the leading universities in Russia founded in 1920. UrFU is located in Yekaterinburg, the capital of the Ural region, an economic, industrial, scientific and cultural center of Russia. The university is the project office of the Ural Interregional Research and Education Center "Advanced Industrial Technologies and Materials" designed for solving tasks of "Science" National Project.
