Thousands of first-year students learned all about the possibilities of UrFU and celebrated the beginning of a new academic year

The great festival "The first day @Ural Federal", which was held on the square in front of the main campus on September 1. 6000 students came to celebrate the first day of this academic year. The total number of first-year students is 9511.

The students had a chance to know more about different activities during the Fair of Possibilities: there were 10 stands presenting different activities such as youth science, students’ union, sport teams, international activities, the movement of student teams, performing groups and more.

"The university will open for you the endless horizons of science. You will be able to conduct research in modern, well-equipped laboratories under the supervision of scientists from around the world, - addressed the freshmen UrFU rector Victor Koksharov. - You will get acquainted with the culture of other countries while communicating with foreign students, and will find you own unique path of development."

The festival was a great success, the students participated in all the activities, had a lot of questions and continued to explore the possibilities long after the official ceremony was finished.
