Ilan Riess told the students about modern approach to the theoretical analysis of the fuel

Professor Ilan Riess, Head of Laboratory of Ionics in solids, Technion - Israel Institute of Technology (Haifa)  had visited the university on October 18-22. He read two lectures for the students and held a seminar for the academic staff of UrFU Institute of Natural Sciences.

Specialist in mixed conductors research told the students and staff of the university about solid-state devices based on the basis of mixed conductors: Metal 1|MIEC|Metal 2, the current-voltage characteristics and the distribution of defects in the fuel elements based on mixed conductors, and also about the current approaches to the theoretical analysis of fuel elements and solid-state electrochemical cells, including the mathematical device describing the transport processes in the bulk of the mixed conductor.

During his stay at UrFU, Professor Riess had visited the departments and laboratories of UrFU Institute of Natural Sciences and was pleased with modern equipment and the research areas, the scientists of the institute is working on.
