Films by Andrey Golovnev will be shown at the evenings of ethnographic films in Ekaterinburg

Professor of Ural Federal University, Andrey Golovnev is a prominent scientist in the field of ethnography and anthropology and a film-director will show his three films about the culture and life of the people of the north, the Nenets.

Ethnographic Films Evenings will be held on November 3 and 5 in the framework of the "Art Night in Oshurkov’s mansion" in the Center of Traditional Folk Culture of the Middle Urals (Chapaeva, 10).

Ethnographic films of Andrey Golovnev "Gods of Yamal", "The Way to the Shrine" and "Devil's Lake" will reveal the diversity of the traditional culture of the peoples of the Sverdlovsk region. The event will be held from 18:00 till 21:00.

Ethnographic films are the films created by professional anthropologists and documentary filmmaker. These films tell about rituals, beliefs and cultural traditions of different peoples.

Andrey Golovnev is a Doctor of Historical Sciences, ethnographer, author of popular science films, and researcher with 30 years of expedition experience.
