One of the priorities of the joint work of federal universities will be networking

On February 19, a meeting of rectors of federal universities and the Deputy Minister of Education and Science of the Russian Federation Alexander Klimov took place at Northern Arctic Federal University. At a meeting of the Interagency Working Group of the Presidential Council for Science and Education, the heads of federal universities discussed the further development of universities and summed up the five-year history of federal universities.

According to Deputy Minister of Education and Science of the Russian Federation Alexander Klimov, when federal universities were created, each of them had different development program, as they were established at different times. Today the programs are being unified, and the agency expects that by 2020 all federal universities will come to common indicators.

Much attention was paid to the topic of network cooperation of federal universities, as one of the priority areas of joint work. The next session, during which modernization of higher education will also be discussed, is scheduled for April and will be held in North-Caucasus Federal University.
