UrFU professors and students participated in the conference CDIO in China

The delegation of Ural Federal University will present UrFU on the international conference CDIO (Modern approach to engineering education) in Chengdu, China.  From 7th to 11th of June twenty students and professors from Institute of Mechanics and Machine Building, Institute of Physics and Technology, Institute of Fundamental Education , Institute of Humanities and Arts and Graduate Engineering School will make reports during the round tables and will present the projects of the mobile autonomic robot, the race car and the laser project in CDIO academy.

 “One of the projects is a creation of autonomic robot which is able to navigate in space, to plan and to build the routes and also to fulfill the programmed actions. LiDAR (Light Detection And Ranging) will be used for collecting and analysis of data. Such research will be promote development of home robots”, - says the student of UrFU and the participant of the conference Yulia Timofeeva.

The conference CDIO are taking place in China for the 11th time. Every year it becomes the platform for ideas and actual information exchange among the representatives of the universities, colleges, research institutes from around the world: the specialists from the USA, Canada, Europe and China make reports. This year the main theme is “Cooperating and expanding of interaction”.
