Vienna music film festival will present new concerts this year

The public will watch two concerts of Anna Netrebko, Lady Gaga and Tony Bennett, three parts of “The Bremen Town Musicians” and many other wonderful musical films

 

Vienna music film festival will take place in Ekaterinburg for the 6th time. On June 24, it will be opened by the live concert of musical improvisational project Scurdia (13 musicians from 9 countries, who will perform in Russia for the first time). This year many the guests of the festival will see a lot of new concerts: two new concerts with Anna Netrebko, Lady Gaga in the image of the star of 1920s and many others.

“The uniqueness of this year is that we selected the program of festival, not Austrians: we  personally went to Austria and reviewed 300 films in order to choose, - the manager of affairs of the honorable consul of Austrian Republic in Ekaterinburg Maria Zashlyapina says. - Traditionally the concerts are very popular especially the musical works with Anna Netrebko. We include concerts with her in the program every year and this year there will be two concerts: “Concert in Paris” in  Eiffel Tower and a new performance – opera “Troubadour”. In general, all works are new, except for the concert of Queen. And the most recent one “Alexander’s Feast” was released on March 2015.

The Vienna festival in Ekaterinburg will be traditionally closed by the New Year concert of Vienna Philharmonic. This time the program “Zubin Mehta and Vienna Philharmonic – the New Year concert of 2015”. We will remind that Vienna festival takes place on the square in front of the main building of Ural Federal University on Mira 19.
