University took part in the conference of the European Mediterranean Business Institute

Russian economists together with the foreign colleagues, discussed the non-financial reports of universities

The representatives of UrFU Graduate School of Economics and Management took part in the eighth international conference "Innovation, entrepreneurship and the creation of sustainable value chains in dynamic business environment", which was held in Italy and has been organized by the EuroMed Research Business Institute (EMBRI).

Associate Professor at the International Economy Department, Zhanna Belyaeva, as a representative of EMBRI in Russia (full associate member of which UrFU became in 2014), conducted a section "International business and strategic social responsibility".

"During the section we discussed wide range of issues related to the institutional, cross-cultural, and cross-country differences in the approaches to the implementation of corporate social responsibility in the world economy. Non-financial reports of universities were also reviewed, as we are extremely interested in this experience, in 2015-2016 it is planned to release the first non-financial report for UrFU, - said t Zhanna Belyaeva. - This practices we will include in  English taught undegraduate programme "International Business and the World Economy", and perhaps in the new academic and research projects of the Institute."

We would like to remind that together with experts from more than 200 universities of the world, UrFU regularly takes part in the organization of multidisciplinary research, creation and dissemination of knowledge about the various aspects of international business. Ural Federal University is a candidate to host the 2016 conference EMBRI.
