Katarzyna Osińska will introduce students to the work of the outstanding theatrical figure of Poland

On October 27 at 16:00, the Professor of the Institute of Slavic Studies of the Polish Academy of Sciences Katarzyna Osińska will give a lecture on the works of the outstanding figure of the Polish theater art of the XX century Tadeusz Kantor for students and guests of Ural Federal University.

Tadeusz Kantor is a director, set designer, graphic artist, art theorist and author of the happenings. He is a founder of his own theater company, he worked with the plays of Shakespeare and S. Witkiewicz, staged B. Schultz and dramas W. Gombrowicz. Manifesting "non-formal" and "zero" theater, Tadeusz Kantor made an invaluable contribution to the development of theatrical art of the last century.

The report of Katarzyna Osińska will include fragments of the most famous performances of Tadeusz Kantor.
