UrFU to Extend Cooperation with Mexico by Introducing Language Courses and Professors Exchange

Prof. José Pablo Nuño de la Parra, UPAEP, visited Ural Federal University

UrFU Rector Victor Koksharov described the cooperation with UPAEP University, Mexico, as one of the most successful so far. Yesterday he talked to Professor José Pablo Nuño de la Parra, Director of postgraduate programs and research at UPAEP. The meeting was also attended by Maxim Khomyakov, UrFU Vice-Rector for International Relations, and Vasiliy Tretiakov, Deputy Vice-Rector for Academic Affairs.

“We could extend our cooperation by launching Spanish language courses”, suggested Maxim Khomyakov. “Besides, we would be glad to see representatives of UPAEP as participants of UrFU International Week, an event where we invite all our partners to UrFU”.

Last Monday, Professor de la Parra, who is also the Director for internationalization of his university, gave an open lecture in English on economic and strategic planning for UrFU students with live streaming for the Mexican students.

“Over 300 people came to listen to Professor de la Parra”, says Ekaterina Lyubimova, Director of the Department of International Educational Programs UrFU. “There were our students from Brazil, Pakistan, and other countries. I can say for sure that the interest in Mexico is really big”.
