The creation of UrFU students is marked by a special nomination in the final of the seventh season of UrFU Accelerator

Participants of the seventh season of UrFU Accelerator developed a bot for learning English. A bot named Lenny allows you to learn 10 English words a day and has already become available to a wide audience in Telegram, Messenger (Facebook) and even in Viber. It is also planned to extend the number of IMs.

The creators are fourth-year students of Ural Federal University Evgeny Kriulin (Institute of Public Administration and Entrepreneurship) and Mirbek Imarov (Institute of Material Science and Metallurgy).

"Everybody knows, English is the foundation for successful career growth. The main task of the bot is to tell the user even 5 minutes a day is enough to learn and remember words forever. The database is loaded with more than ten thousand words on six levels: from Beginner to Proficiency. Bot wants you to remember the words, so it will check you in a certain period of time. It is calculated according to the Ebbinghaus Forgetting Curve, so you will not forget the words," the developers say.

Innovators also note that the most impatient users can immediately remove the restriction and teach more than 10 words a day, but this feature will be a paid one. Bot is available in two languages: Russian and English, at the moment only English can be studied. The developers are now looking for partners among programmers working in Python language and people who know English to improve the base.
