University scientists prepare for a joint conference with Harvard University

Researchers will discuss changes in the markets of developing countries

The First Vice-Rector of UrFU Dmitry Bugrov accepted an offer to organize a joint conference in collaboration with Harvard University. The First Vice-Rector and delegation from Boston met delegation at the main campus of the university on October 16.

"University economists are ready to participate in the international scientific conference on the economy of emerging markets, which will be held in Moscow in May," said Dmiltry Bugrov. "The organizers of the event are the Peoples' Friendship University of Russia, the University of Nice - Sophia Antipolis and Harvard University."

The scientific director of the International Center for Emerging Market Research of RUDN University and Harvard associate researcher Bruno Sergi, the start-up manager Juan Carlos Reyes (Harvard University '17), the president of the Massachusetts Association of Hispanic Attorneys Alexander Rodriguez (Harvard University '16), and UrFU graduate Andrey Berezin (Harvard University '17), expressed their readiness to participate in the traditional November economic conference "Russian regions in the focus of change" organized by UrFU.

The associate researcher and alumni of Harvard also met with the students and participated in the events of the regional program of the World Festival of Youth and Students 2017.

The delegation's visit was a response to previous visit of UrFU students to Boston. In April 2017, the chairman of the UrFU Students Union Aslan Kagiev and winners of the competition "UrFU Student of the Year” Mikhail Kochnev and Ekaterina Agafonova visited Harvard University.
