79 students will compete for the title "Student of the year"

They were selected from 188 applications to participate in the contest

79 candidates for the title of the best UrFU student were announced on October 31 in the Academic Council Hall. Students met with the organizers of the contest, got familiar with its structure, received schedules and were divided into teams. Preparation program will last 5 weeks and will include workshops aimed to improve presentation, personal and professional skills.

‘Many ideas that we had discussed last year seemed impossible. Harvard liked our students, the winners of the Grand-prize Ekaterina Agafonova and Mikhail Kochnev implemented their projects and successfully represented our university at the conference in Harvard’, said Vice-Rector for Information Policy Raisa Ivanitskaya.

‘Student of the year’ is one of the most important events in Ural Federal University. 188 students submitted applications to participate in the contest. 55 experts from the number of young scientists, heads of student organizations and university staff spent 660 hours to go through all applications.

7 international students will compete in the nomination ‘International student of the year’.
