Medical Researchers Tell Students About Cardiovascular Diseases

Representatives from the Andijan Medical Institute visited the Ural Federal University

How to improve diagnosis organization and emergency care in case of a catastrophic cardiovascular collapse? What is best for atherosclerosis prevention? These and other measures were delivered by medical scientists of the Andijan Medical Institute (Uzbekistan) to our students. Nematzhon Mamasoliev, Head of the Department of Internal Medicine at the Faculty of Advanced Medical Studies, and Khatam Tursunov, Dean of the Faculty, told the students of the Institute Natural Sciences and Mathematics of the Ural Federal University (INSM UrFU) about modern standards for the diagnosis and treatment of acute coronary syndrome and arterial hypertension.

“The interest of colleagues in UrFU is associated with the implementation of educational programs in the field of fundamental medicine at our university. According to the general opinion, it is only through the integration of basic scientific research and clinical practice that we can succeed in treating socially significant diseases – primarily, cardiovascular diseases – the ‘number-one killer’ for a modern individual,” – explains Victor Yemelianov, Associate Professor of the Department of Immunochemistry at UrFU.

As V. Yemelianov emphasizes, the scientific and practical traditions of cardiologists of Uzbekistan originate from the Russian therapeutic school, yet the bilateral relations should continue developing.
