The May Walk - Online Registration to Open from March 1

The participants will cover distances of 20, 35, and 50 kilometers

From March 1, registration of participants of the 37th pedestrian the 'May Walk' begins. To register, one must submit an application on the event website and pay the entry fee.

The May Walk will take place on May 17. Participants may choose 3 distances: 50, 35 and 20 km (traditional “Shartash round-the-world”). This year the start is planned from the Ural State Pedagogical University (26 Cosmonauts Ave.), and the finish will traditionally be located at the main building of the Ural Federal University (19 Mira St.). The walk will pass through the northern and eastern surroundings of the city.

“This year we devoted the longest distance to the 100th anniversary of UrFU. Its route will pass through the Kalinovsky Forest Park with a checkpoint at the site of the 'Mister Fisher' country club, then through the 44th district, the fields beyond Dalniy Berezit, the village of Berezit, through Kalinovka to Lake Shartash and UrFU,” said the organizer of the May Walk, university professor Viktor Grokhovsky.

Note that all routes pass through the picturesque surroundings of the city and combine movement along forest roads, clearings and sidewalks.
