UrFU's Engineering Research Center Plans to Establish a Branch in Turkey

The university will share its experience to form a new type of design bureau

A branch of the engineering center of the Ural Federal University is scheduled to be opened in Turkey in 2020, as reported by TASS.

“We see a great demand for our knowledge in Turkey, where there are many new production sites, where new type of design bureaus are being formed. Therefore, we plan to open a branch of the engineering center for digital engineering technology in Turkey in 2020,” said Maxim Sapogov, director of the center.

The center was established in Yekaterinburg at UrFU in October 2019. Its main goal is to ensure the availability of digital engineering technologies and research for advanced engineering knowledge for industrial enterprises.

The technologies of end-to-end digital design used in the engineering center allow testing developed products even before they appear “in hardware” due to complex computer-based computational models and organization of work on the basis of modern industrial information systems. Due to this, design errors are significantly reduced, the time for product development and the number of expensive finishing tests of prototypes are significantly reduced.
