University Lecturer Reached the Finals of the Construction Industry Leaders Competition

Ksenia Maltseva suggested a way to improve the energy efficiency of homes

Senior lecturer of the Institute of Civil Engineering and Architecture of Ural Federal University, Project Manager at LLC Mayak Corporation Ksenia Maltseva developed a project to improve the energy efficiency of apartment buildings during major repairs. The initiative allowed her to enter the finals of the All-Russian Construction Industry Leaders competition.

"Energy efficiency of houses is one of the most pressing problems of the construction industry. Ksenia Vladimirovna's project was implemented under the guidance of Alexander Moor, head of the All-Russian Center for National Construction Policy, and was highly appreciated by experts from different regions of Russia," the Institute of Civil Engineering and Architecture of UrFU told.

Kseniya Maltseva suggested including energy-saving work in the list of obligatory repairs. This will reduce the heating costs, energy and carbon dioxide emissions, and optimize the load on the existing networks and utilities. In addition, the project provides for a regular energy audit of apartment buildings and the creation of a unified federal database with the results of energy audits of buildings.

Construction Industry Leaders is an open competition for managers with experience in state organizations and business in management positions. Applications for participation were submitted by almost 10 thousand people from all regions of Russia, two-thirds of them were businessmen. There were 100 finalists. The Institute of Civil Engineering and Architecture of the Ural Federal University is a member of the organizing committee of the competition.

The results of the competition will form a talent pool of Russian construction industry managers with digital portfolios, expert groups of industry development, as well as a professional community of talented and promising managers.
