25 University Students Won the Scholarship of the President and the Government of the Russian Federation

Nine students received two scholarships at once

Every year students at Ural Federal University become scholarship holders of the President and the Government of the Russian Federation. The year 2021 is no exception - 25 students became recipients of monetary awards, and nine of them received two scholarships at once.

To become a holder of such scholarships, it is necessary to show high achievements in research activities and regularly write scientific articles in reputable journals. This time the students of Institute of Natural Sciences and Mathematics, Institute of Economics and Management, Ural Institute of Humanities and Institute of Physics and Technology distinguished themselves.

One of the winners is Elena Panshina. She studies at the Institute of Natural Sciences and Mathematics and is engaged in blast furnace engineering. The girl conducts research using a scanning electron microscope.

"The results obtained are of considerable interest. They are published in prestigious journals and presented at international and all-Russian conferences. Relevance of research and scholarship encourage me to develop in this field and make more discoveries", said Elena.

Scholarship holders will start to receive remuneration on September 1, 2021, and the payments will continue throughout the academic year.
