Innoprom: Post-graduate student of the university won one of the nomination of the contest “Minute of Techno-Fame” and received a grant for education at the foreign business school

The project of the post-graduate student of Ural Federal University Yakov Krotov won the nomination “Technological innovations” of the contest of innovative ideas “Minute of Techno-Fame”.

The award ceremony took place on July 11 at the International Exhibition and Forum of Innovations “Innoprom”.

The main innovation of the project is fiberglass plastic piles with unique characteristics, which can be used for foundation. The piles are resistant to seasonal temperature changes, they allow to reduce spending on construction and can be used in civil engineering.

Yakov Krotov also received a grant for MBA program of the foreign business school.

The Governor of the Sverdlovsk region, Evgeny Kuyvashev, noted that special workgroups will be created in order to evaluate the potential implementation of the projects, presented at the finals of the contest. This workgroups will include the representatives of the region Administration and experts.

This year 26 projects from 12 universities of the region and scientific institutions of the Ural Branch of RAS took part in the contest. 9 best innovative ideas were presented to the public.

The contest committee was led by the head of the region. Victor Koksharov, the head of the Rectors’ Council of the Sverdlovsk Region, UrFU Rector; Alevtina Simonova, the Rector of Ural Pedagogical University; Maria Dronova, director of public authorizes relations of “Evras” and Sergey Kortov, UrFU Vice Rector for Innovations also became the members of the committee.
