The Rector of Ural Federal University and Bu-Ali Sina University have signed a cooperation agreement, which will contribute to additional development of the Center for Iranian Studies in the Urals and may mark the beginning of the study of the Russian language in Iran. The university, named after a prominent healer Avicenna, is one of the strongest in the country.

"We signed a memorandum, which ensures the fact that Bu-Ali Sina University will help in providing the literature and other aids for the Center of Iranian Studies, which was recently opened, and a lecturer of Persian language, which comes to our university as a regular employee, is likely to be sent from this University ", - said Victor Koksharov.

The agreement reached during the visit of the Sverdlovsk delegation to the Islamic Republic of Iran headed by Evgeny Kuyvashev. Rector of Ural Federal University Victor Koksharov held talks with colleagues in Hamadan: Rector of the University of Medical Sciences, University of Technology and Bu-Ali Sina University.

Rectors agreed that Ural students studying the Persian language and culture would pass internships in Hamadan. Iranian students, in their turn, will be able to receive education in the Urals.

"We have also agreed on a series of seminars, during which researchers in different areas will be able to discuss areas of cooperation. One of the specific proposals was the holding of the Russian-Iranian seminar for chemists during Mendeleev Congress in September," - said Victor Koksharov. - Partners from Iran were particularly interested in joint research in the field of cosmology, astrophysics, material science. Iranian colleagues are interested in initiative on the development of "Russian direction" in Hamadan. We are ready to provide all necessary assistance to provide literature and methodical help for our lecturers."

It is expected that the president of Bu-Ali Sina Universitywill come to visit UrFU in the near future.
