University took the 165th position in Times Higher Education BRICS & Emerging Economies Rankings 2015

Ural Federal University entered the list of the best universities in The Times Higher Education BRICS & Emerging Economies Rankings 2015.

The university holds the 165th position in the top-200 universities in 48 countries.

"The success of UrFU in the ranking is connected with the implementation of the program on enhancement of global competitiveness, the project 5-100, - said the rector Victor Koksharov. - One of the features of the ranking is the importance of the indicators, which reflect the cooperation between the university and the industry, and the level of internationalization."

BRICS & Emerging Economies Rankings 2015 has been published by the British rating agency, Times Higher Education (THE) on December 2.

According to the editor of THE, Phil Bate, "ranking of universities of the BRICS countries and Emerging Economies Rankings uses the same 13 demanding and very strict performance indicators, which are used for the global ranking of universities, and therefore institutions should demonstrate high performance standards in teaching, research, internationalization and links with industry ".

The authors of ranking evaluate the best universities from 48 highly competitive countries with a dynamic developing economy, that is why, the experts believe, it is considered to be a great success to be in the top-200 - in itself a great achievement.
