Ural Federal University establishes relationships with the Government of Catalonia

University staff visited the exhibition in Barcelona and held talks on cooperation in the field of science

The representatives of Ural Federal University visited the world's largest mobile industry exhibition GSMA Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, ​​where they held talks with the representatives of the Government of Catalonia.

 “During the talks, the sides agreed to work on joint projects in the field of science and the opportunity to participate in the program Tecniospring, - says expert on project management of UrFU department of information and analytical systems and international projects, Anna Boikova. - This is a program to encourage the mobility of researchers and scientists with experience in research activities, which is co-financed of the Seventh Framework Programme for Research and Technological Development (FP7), launched by the European Union”.

According to Anna Boikova, Tecniospring provides researchers and scientists with a contract of employment for a period of 2 years. The applicants should have experience in research activity (at least 4 years with a protected PhD and at least 8 years without a PhD) in the field of applied research and/or technology transfer. During the period of the contract researchers develop applied research project, followed by transfer of technology obtained. There will be selected one of the Catalan R&D, on the basis of which will be carried out such studies.

In 2015 GSMA Mobile World Congress was held for the tenth time. For four days, March 2 – 5, 93,000 people from 200 countries visited the exhibition; the conference was attended by representatives of major influential mobile operators, equipment suppliers, companies from the automotive, financial, medical industry, and government representatives from around the world.
