The implementation of UrFU projects in Armenia

UrFU Alumni Association Office has opened in Yerevan

On September 28, 2015 at the Constituent Assembly in Yerevan it was determined to establish UrFU Alumni Association Office headed by Azaryan Alexan. At the present time, Azaryan Alexan is a post-graduate student of UrFU Graduate School of Economics and Management.

At the meeting there was a discussion of a number of issues such as organization of short-term and long-term projects, lecturing and workshops conducted by UrFU graduates who were living in Armenia.

Alexander Ponomarev, the executive Director of UrFU Alumni Association, notes that the opening of the representation office is advantageous for both parties. This would support the strong partnership between UrFU and Armenia, so new joint projects could be implemented and more Armenian students could enter the University.

The potential for further interaction is not unfulfilled. It is planned to cover scientific and innovative areas.

The representation office in Armenia is the fifth representative of Alumni Association after Mongolia, China, Kyrgyzstan and Kazakhstan.

Ural Federal University is one of the leading universities in Russia founded in 1920. UrFU is located in Yekaterinburg, the capital of the Ural region, an economic, industrial, scientific and cultural center of Russia. The university is the project office of the Ural Interregional Research and Education Center "Advanced Industrial Technologies and Materials" designed for solving tasks of "Science" National Project.
