UrFU team won the final of the International Olympiad in Israel

UrFU students showed best results among 16 teams of Russia, Poland, Romania and other countries

Pavel Maevskih, Alexey Danilyuk and Pavel Gein, students of UrFU, won the International Open Internet-Olympiad for students in Mathematics having overtaken the competitors form Russia, Poland, Israel and other countries.

In individual championship Alexey Danilyuk was awarded the diploma of first degree and a golden medal (among other 5 golden medalists). Pavel Gein and Pavel Maevskih were awarded the diploma of second degree and a bronze medal.

In the team competition UrFU students won the Olympiad with the team of Ufa having overtaken the teams of Moscow and Saint-Petersburg State Universities. It is remarkable that students of Ural Federal University have been taking medal prizes in the Olympiad for 3 years.

UrFU is a participant of the Project 5-100, aimed at improving research capacity of national universities and competitiveness of education at a global level.
