The new center will expand the possibilities of international cooperation for the university

The Center for Energy Sources and Water Engineering officially began work in Zhengzhou, the administrative capital of Henan province (Central China). The initiator of the creation of the center was Ural Federal University and North China University of Water Conservancy and Electric Power.

We would like to remind, that the framework agreement on cooperation concluded by leaders of the two universities in October 2015, provides for the establishment of centers of energy sources and water engineering, both in China and in Russia.

North China University of Water Conservancy and Electric Power is one of the 11 Chinese universities included in the list of participants of the BRICS Network University. Establishment of Sino-Russian center as a part of this project is seen as an important step taken by institutions to enhance international cooperation and contacts.

Rector Victor Koksharov expressed hope for fruitful cooperation with the Chinese colleagues, continuous activation of Russian-Chinese cooperation and the development of friendly relations.
