Experts also noted university’s success in engineering, mathematics and science

Ural Federal University has become the most highly regarded institution in the field of humanities and social sciences outside Moscow and St. Petersburg, according to the reputation rating of the Russian universities of the magazine "Dengy" (“Money”) and RAEX agency («Expert RA").

In the list of the top 10 universities in these areas UrFU is ranked eighth. The specialists believe that UrFU owes the success in the humanitarian sphere to the fact that UrFU was created through the merge of two leading universities of the region, one of which was Ural State University named after A.M. Gorky, the best classical universities of the country.

UrFU took the sixth place among the best universities, which offer educational programs on technical sciences, engineering and technology; in the field of mathematics and natural sciences Ural Federal University is the seventh.

"University is becoming more and more attractive for both Russian and international students, - says the rector of Ural Federal University, Victor Koksharov. – We’ve confirmed the title of one of Russian educational leaders once again, which means that the university is moving in the right direction, even in the conditions of stiff competition."

Ural Federal University has one of the highest reputations among non-capital higher education institutions along with the Tomsk State and Polytechnic University, Novosibirsk and Kazan State Universities.

The ranking is based on the opinions of more than 34 thousand respondents - representatives of the academic and scientific community, companies, employers, students and graduates of the Russian universities. They evaluated three indicators: the level of research activity, demand for graduates by employers, the quality of education.
