The university took the fourth place in Potanin Foundation Ranking

According to experts, the university improves the position thanks to the high quality of master's programs

Ural Federal University took the fourth place in the ranking of Russian universities compiled by Vladimir Potanin Foundation. It is an overall rating of higher education institutions, which participate in the scholarship program of the foundation.

In the past two years, the foundation only works with the students and lecturers of master's degree programs, which is especially important according to the state educational policy: leading universities - participants of “5-100”, the project of enhancing global competitiveness, should concentrated on graduate and postgraduate studies, says the representatives of Higher School of Economics.

The results of ranking 2015 were presented by Vladimir Potanin Foundation yesterday in Moscow. The rector of UrFU, Victor Koksharov, participated in the presentation.

According to CEO of Vladimir Potanin Foundation, Oksana Oracheva, this rating allows to estimate both: the activity of the students and lecturers and their achievements.

Ural Federal University is one of the leading universities in Russia founded in 1920. UrFU is located in Yekaterinburg, the capital of the Ural region, an economic, industrial, scientific and cultural center of Russia. The university is the project office of the Ural Interregional Research and Education Center "Advanced Industrial Technologies and Materials" designed for solving tasks of "Science" National Project.
