According to TASS, on March 6, Russia and Bolivia signed an intergovernmental agreement on cooperation in the field of nuclear energy for peaceful purposes and construction of the Center of nuclear research and technology in the city of El Alto (4100 meters above sea level). Thus, to the by the end of June "Rosatom" plans to sign contracts with the Government of Bolivia to build a nuclear center for research and technologies in Bolivia.

"It is very important to us. This is a separate market. This is because this is the first research reactor, which we create in Latin America. Market of research reactors is measured in billions and it is growing," – said Sergey Kiriyenko in his interview to TASS.

According to Kiriyenko, the President of Bolivia said that on Wednesday the government will make a decision on the establishment of the National Nuclear Energy Agency for the implementation of the agreement.
