Russia's first department of Big Data Analytics and Methods of Video Analysis is ready to enroll students

The Department of Big Data Analytics and Methods of Video Analysis, the basic department of "Data Center Automation" of UrFU Institute of Radio Engineering and Information Technologies is ready to enroll students.

According to the Director of UrFU Institute of Radio Engineering and Information Technologies, Sergei Knyazev, the specialists of the Russian division of Teradata completed delivery and deployment of the platform designed for the analysis of large data.

The main activity of the department is focused on research and practical application of the technologies and the concept of Data Mining in metallurgy, transportation and other industries.

We would like to remind that the department is headed by Damir Gainanov, the representative of Ural school of data analysis methods and pattern recognition, developed at the Institute of Mathematics and Mechanics, Ural Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences.

Ural Federal University is one of the leading universities in Russia founded in 1920. UrFU is located in Yekaterinburg, the capital of the Ural region, an economic, industrial, scientific and cultural center of Russia. The university is the project office of the Ural Interregional Research and Education Center "Advanced Industrial Technologies and Materials" designed for solving tasks of "Science" National Project.
