“At the jubilee exhibition you can see photographs, books and documents about Boris Nikolayevich, which are not presented in the permanent exhibition,” says Yulia Shaton, director of the Ural Federal University Museum and Exhibition Complex. - This is his record book, a photograph of the dormitory in which he lived, an article in the newspaper "For Industrial Personnel", published in 1951 (it has been published at UPI since 1934). Also presented are photographs taken during the visit of the first President of Russia to his native university. You can study the books of Boris Yeltsin with autographs and dedicatory inscriptions, as well as books about him published in different years. "

UrFU Museum has a separate hall dedicated to Boris Yeltsin. Here, a large number of documents and photographs portray the studentship and political career of a graduate of the UPI Construction Faculty.

“According to the recollections of his classmates, Boris Nikolayevich was a genuine person, a friend,” says Yulia Shaton. - Of course, then no one thought that he would become the first President of Russia, but, of course, he had leadership qualities, perseverance, and a desire to be ahead. It was very noticeable from the first sight. "
