Winners of the regional student project contest "Beautiful Tourist Urals" were awarded on January 26 at the meeting of the Urals Branch of the Russian Union of Industry and the Urals Tourism Association. Author projects of routes, which were presented by third-year students of the Department of Social and Cultural Service and Tourism of the Ural Institute of Humanities of UrFU Aleksander Osintsev ("Vtuzgorodok: the spiral of history") and Ksenia Shulyova ("On the Stone - in the village of Nizhneirginskoye"), received the highest marks.

"The main idea of the project is to show how one of the city's districts developed. How it has moved from a Soviet campus to the 21st century with the developed infrastructure of the Ural Federal University. To show how people, universities, and research centers influenced the neighborhood and how it influences the history and life of the city and the entire Middle Urals," said Aleksandr Osintsev.

He also noted that the tour would be useful for Ural Federal University students coming from other cities. Aleksandr himself came to Ekaterinburg and spent months getting to know it. Such a tour can make life easier for incoming students.
