International Students Learn about Materials Science, Engineering and Business

The students from 3 different countries came to Ekaterinburg in order to participate in UrFU Winter University

Ural Federal University continues to train international students in Materials Science, Engineering, Business and Intercultural Communication in Russia. The annual Winter University has started. The first classes were attended by 54 students from China, Brazil and Botswana.

'We conduct classes in English; the program includes lecture and practical classes with laboratory research and project tasks. The students also learn about Russian culture and infrastructure of Ekaterinburg; they visit museums, shopping centers, sports complexes and participate in different events, etc. This block is held in collaboration with UrFU Buddy System‘, said the organizers of the Winter University.

The educational programs will be held from January 29 to February 11.

UrFU Winter School is the project of the Department of International Educational Programs in collaboration Ural Humanitarian Institute and the Institute of New Materials and Technologies.

Ural Federal University is one of the leading universities in Russia founded in 1920. UrFU is located in Yekaterinburg, the capital of the Ural region, an economic, industrial, scientific and cultural center of Russia. The university is the project office of the Ural Interregional Research and Education Center "Advanced Industrial Technologies and Materials" designed for solving tasks of "Science" National Project.
