The study of THE University Ranking of Eurasia Nations was published for the first time

Ural Federal University was included in the group 51-60 of THE University Ranking of Eurasia Nations. The study of the British edition of Times Higher Education (THE) was published for the first time.

‘The university has once again confirmed the high status in the country and the leading position in the large Eurasian region,’ says Victor Koksharov, the rector of UrFU. ‘I'm sure that the chosen strategy of collaboration with researchers around the world, along with participation in the project 5-100 will continue to bring positive results.’

The ranking includes 74 universities from 16 countries, the leader is Lomonosov Moscow State University. The second and third places were taken by MIPT and Tomsk Polytechnic University. There are 27 Russian universities were included in the ranking, 17 of which are participants of the project 5-100, a state program to enhance the international competitiveness of Russian universities.

The ranking results are based on the achievements of the universities in the general ranking THE, published last September. The methodology uses the same indicators: teaching (learning environment), research, citing publications, international interaction and income from productive activities (innovations).
