UrFU will help to prevent drug trafficking in China

The Chinese delegation got acquainted with the university's potential in the field of chemistry and pharmaceutics

Competences of Ural Federal University will be in demand when solving the problem of drug trafficking in the People's Republic of China. On September 13, a delegation, led by Wang Youmei, Deputy Secretary-General of the National Narcotics Control Commission of China (NNCC) and Chief Engineer of the National Narcotics Laboratory (NNL) visited Ural Federal University.

‘Relations between our countries are very friendly, and UrFU is considered one of the most famous Russian universities in China. The competence of UrFU Institute of Chemical Technology are impressive. Drug trafficking is a big problem for our countries, and I am confident that we will be able to overcome it together. The effectiveness of our work in this field directly depends on the level of technological support. Without this, our activities are becoming increasingly difficult,’ said Wang Youmei.

During the visit, the Chinese delegation visited UrFU Center for Pharmaceutical and Chemical Technologies, specializing in the development of medicines and technologies for their production, introduction and serial production of innovative medicines. The center includes a complex of specialized laboratories and an experimental production site for the development of technologies for obtaining substances and ready-made dosage forms of medicines.
