UrFU Ranked Eighth in Russia for Online Visibility

uniRank uses independent statistics to evaluate universities

Ural Federal University was ranked eighth in the Russian segment of the global ranking uniRank, an international reference and search system in the field of higher education.

The total list of Russian universities in the ranking consists of 379 positions. According to the authors, it includes accredited institutions of higher education that at least provide bachelor-level education "in the traditional full-time format".

The uniRank ranking is based on the popularity of the official websites of universities. It takes into account the independent web metrics Moz Domain Authority, Alexa Global Rank, SimilarWeb Global Rank, Majestic Referring Domains and Majestic Trust Flow. The authors also look at such indicators as traffic, number of active links and metric flow indicators. Other indicators that are considered include the number of unique visitors and page views on the university website from mobile devices and users' PCs.

The global ranking of uniRank includes 13,600 officially recognized universities and colleges in 200 countries.
