Fun Physics, Extra Points for Finals, and Fireworks: Test Drive at UrFU

The conclusion to this year's Test Drive was drawn with festive fireworks [photoseries]

A pickle glowing under voltage, an illuminating vase, a banana freezing instantly, a burning tea bag, fire music and fire swings, as well as experiments with liquid nitrogen were part of the show about physics and chemistry in everyday life for highschoolers participating at the Test Drive project in the Ural Federal University. This scientific show was organized by the staff of the UrFU Institute of Natural Sciences and Mathematics. The high school students were not only spectators, but also direct participants of the experiments.

This year the theme of “Test Drive” is digitalization. In addition to classes, the project participants plunged into other areas of student life: there was a large sports festival, the Students Union’s extracurricular activities fair and UrFU’s artistic clubs festival.

The event ended with fireworks and a flashmob of the participants who lined up in a huge letter “У” (UrFU’s logo).
