Foreign Students Learned How to Equip "Smart Home"

University students from Italy, Spain, Belgium, Croatia, the Czech Republic, France, Greece, Hungary, Poland, Romania, Macedonia completed their studies in Ural Federal University on the annual educational course by the Board of European Students of Technology (BEST). This year it was devoted to the basic smart home technology.

‘They had learned about the “smart home”, the Internet of Things, Industry 4.0, security in automated systems, design thinking. After that, the students prepared their projects and successfully defended them during the exam. The “smart curtains” project was recognized as the best,’ Elizaveta Pimenova, who is responsible for the educational program, shares.

The course participants successfully demonstrated how to apply integrated analysis methods, interpret results and provide feedback in decision making.

The students completed a week-long course on March 20.

Ural Federal University is one of the leading universities in Russia founded in 1920. UrFU is located in Yekaterinburg, the capital of the Ural region, an economic, industrial, scientific and cultural center of Russia. The university is the project office of the Ural Interregional Research and Education Center "Advanced Industrial Technologies and Materials" designed for solving tasks of "Science" National Project.
