Eleven Postgraduate Students and Young Scientists of UrFU to Receive President’s Scholarships

Research and developments in priority areas of economic modernization were highly evaluated

In 2019–2021, eleven young scientists and postgraduate students of Ural Federal University will receive scholarships: Anna Bryuzgina, Stanislav Eroshenko, Valeria Kudyakova, Konstantin Naumov, Dmitry Salimgareyev, Albert Khasanov, Alexander Chikov, Alexander Lvov, Anastasia Lashova, Anton Dolganov and Konstantin Savateev.

Scholarships of 22,800 rubles per month are awarded for the successful implementation of promising research and development in priority areas of the modernization of the Russian economy. For example, a young scientist from the Institute of Chemical Technology Konstantin Savateev is creating new heterocyclic compounds with potential useful biological activity for treatment of such diseases as influenza, type 2 diabetes and sepsis.

Ural Federal University is one of the leading universities in Russia founded in 1920. UrFU is located in Yekaterinburg, the capital of the Ural region, an economic, industrial, scientific and cultural center of Russia. The university is the project office of the Ural Interregional Research and Education Center "Advanced Industrial Technologies and Materials" designed for solving tasks of "Science" National Project.
