Sergey Karyakin’s Team Wins Silk Way Rally

UrFU graduate brought home the winner's cup from Beijing

Race team “Snag Racing” led by the UrFU graduate Sergey Karyakin is back home from Beijing. Yesterday the athletes won the Silk Way Rally in the buggy category, having covered most difficult special stages on the territories of Russia, Mongolia and China.

‘More than 10 000 km distance is over with (half of which the athletes covered driving off-road buggies), there are tons of great memories and experiences. However beautiful foreign countries are, there’s nothing better than coming back home. We want to express special gratitude to those who supported our team these two weeks. There were so many kind words, and we’re glad we delivered on your hopes,’ — Mr. Karyakin shared on his VK page.

Rally marathon Silk Way Rally was held for the ninth time. For the first time this year bikes and quads were included in the competition along with cars and trucks.
