UrFU improves the effectiveness of its work with industry

This will be facilitated by a new digital service for interaction with partners

The interaction of the Ural Federal University with partners will be taken to a new level thanks to a special digital service, which is expected to be launched in September. A partner’s personal account will become one of the key components of the university’s data management system aimed at the mobilization of external resources and integration. The vice-rector of the Ural Federal University for educational activities Andrei Sozykin told about possibilities of the service at a meeting of the Committee of Sverdlovsk Regional Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs (SOSPP) on the development of professional education and workforce.

“We are developing a new service to make the university more open and transparent to partners and employers,” said Andrei Sozykin. - After registration, enterprises can get access to many opportunities offered by the university today. In particular, through the system one can recruit interns, become an industrial partner for project-based learning at the university by applying on behalf of the company with project suggestions for students…”

In the partner’s account, one can also find out what events are held for students at the university and participate in hackathons, job fairs and other events aimed to support students in the development of their careers.

The Rector of UrFU Viktor Koksharov encouraged representatives of enterprises to take advantages of the new university service. In addition, educational programs for raising skills of vocational qualification for employees of industrial enterprises, such as “Digital Industrial Technologies”, “Digital Technologies in Energy Sector”, “Digital Technologies in Construction” and “Cross-cutting Information Technologies” — can be very useful.

“We would like to have as many new industrial partners, business entities as possible, to ensure that all courses and digital services are applied and utilized”, said Viktor Koksharov.
