UrFU Participated in International Conference 'Application of High Innovative Technologies in Preventive Medicine'

Faculty members and students of Department of Medical Biochemistry and Biophysics presented their reports at the online conference

On June 11-12, an online scientific and pratical conference with international participation "Application of high innovative technologies in preventive medicine" was held in Andijan (Uzbekistan). Famous scientists and leading experts from Uzbekistan, Russia, the USA, Japan, Ukraine, Belarus, Kazakhstan, and Kyrgyzstan took part in the event.

Ural Federal University and Andijan State Medical Institute of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Uzbekistan concluded cooperation agreements in the field of education and science in March 2020.

Under this agreement, the Department of Medical Biochemistry and Biophysics of UrFU Institute of Natural Sciences and Mathematics was invited to report in on-line mode.

The reports were presented by three groups of young researchers:

1. Yulia Klyueva, senior lecturer, made a report on the topic “Morphological and functional state of pancreatic islets in rats of different ages with alloxan diabetes”. The work was performed at the Department supported by a grant from Russian Science Foundation.

2. Zlata Shafigulina, 3^rd year postgraduate student, made a report on the topic “Immunological mechanisms of liver regeneration induced by toxic injury and their correction methods”. This work was supported by a grant from Russian Foundation for Basic Research.

3. Svetlana Razumeyeva, 5th year student in Medical Biochemistry, made a report on the topic “Changes in biochemical and hormonal parameters in saliva of athletes”. This work was carried out in cooperation with School of Olympic Reserve No. 1 (Ekaterinburg) under the agreement for scientific cooperation concluded in 2019 between UrFU and School of Olympic Reserve No. 1.

The organizers of the conference considered the reports to be performed at a high scientific level, in particular acknowledging the intervention of the students of Ural Federal University at such a representative scientific forum.
