The best growth rates for 2019 were recorded for Changing Societies & Personalities journal

Changing Societies & Personalities humanities journal published by Ural Federal University first entered the third quartile of the international Scopus database on cultural studies. The journal also entered the fourth quartile in social psychology, sociology and political sciences. According to the results of 2019, the corresponding analytics was provided by Scimago agency.

“This is a very powerful growth, especially since this magazine was included in Scopus only about a year ago,” says Alexey Podchinenov, head of the publishing house of the Ural University. - For such a short period of time, the publication managed to make an incredible journey and get into the third quartile. This is the fourth university journal included in the Scopus quartile. As a result, over the year the publication showed the most powerful growth rates.”

Changing Societies & Personalities was launched in 2017. The publication is devoted to how changes at the level of society affect the values ​​and beliefs of people and how they, in turn, rebuild society. The main topics of the research presented in the journal are the study of value orientations, moral choice, tolerance, ideology of sex and age, social inclusion and exclusion, existential security and others.

Three other scientific journals of the university, presented in Scopus, retained their positions in 2019, compared with 2018. Thus, Quaestio Rossica retained its place in the first quartile in three subject areas (history, literature and art) and in two (linguistics and culture) remained in the second quartile. The journal Problems of Onomastics remained in the second quartile in linguistics and linguistics, and in the third in communications. R-Economy remained in the second quartile in economics, business, management and social sciences.
