Representative offices of the Alumni Association of UPI, Ural State University and UrFU in Kazakhstan, Mongolia, Kyrgyzstan, China, Tajikistan and Armenia will join the Graduate Day campaign dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the Ural Federal University. The events started today and will last until the end of the anniversary week.

“UrFU is proud of its foreign graduates. So, in Mongolia alone, there are more than 3 thousand graduates of the Ural universities, which became part of the Ural Federal. In honor of the 100th anniversary in Mongolia, we will hold a festive plenary session, sports competitions in football, chess, basketball and table tennis, "- said the rector of UrFU Viktor Koksharov at a press conference in TASS-Ural.

According to the head of the university, the university has prepared more than 100 events for the anniversary, including meetings of alumni, scientific conferences and presentations of a number of special projects. For example, an online museum and a thematic exhibition have already been opened in the hall of the Yeltsin Center cinema, holiday books, a photo album, a documentary, and media projects in the media will be presented.

“100 years is when, looking back at our history, at our traditions, we make an application for the next century-old stage of our work. We are proud of what we have achieved, but the university will have to confirm the status of the leading university in the country and the world, achieve new successes and become a real engine of socio-economic development of both the region and the country, ”added Victor Koksharov.

The Mongolian Association also has a Universiade final in 4 sports.
