Nuclear Submarine's Crew Congratulated UrFU on Its 100th Anniversary

NS "Yekaterinburg" navy servicemen sent words of gratitude to UrFU for being one of the providers of additional education of members of the Northern fleet

The flag of the 100th anniversary of the Ural Federal University was delivered to Gadjievo to organize congratulations to the university by the crew members of the Yekaterinburg nuclear submarine. The ship Commander Nikolai Tsybulko noted that the university is the center of attraction for scientific potential and young talents in the Urals.

“The university pays special attention to the patriotic education of young people and ensures interaction between the university community and the Russian armed forces. On behalf of the crew of the Yekaterinburg submarine, I would like to express my gratitude to the university administration for the opportunity to undergo training for servicemen of the Northern Fleet. I wish you new discoveries and prospects, interesting project activities for the benefit of Russia," Commander Nikolai Tsibulko congratulated the university.

According to Ivan Sytov, Deputy Commander at NS "Yekaterinburg", the university manages to successfully combine theory and practice, quickly respond to rapidly changing trends and remain an important socio-cultural center of the region.

“Today, Ural Federal University successfully shows an example of the integration of science, education, production and the formation of the country's intellectual resource. We wish you prosperity, implementation of your plans, fulfillment of all hopes, dynamic development and great creative success,” said Ivan Sytov.

Earlier this year, the rector of UrFU Victor Koksharov presented the 100th anniversary flag to the President of the Foundation for Assistance to the Crews of Strategic Missile Submarine Cruisers Yekaterinburg and Verkhoturye, Alexander Repenkov.

The strategic nuclear-powered missile submarine K-84 Yekaterinburg is part of the 31st Red Banner submarine division of the Northern Fleet. The submarine, built in 1984 in Severodvinsk, was named Yekaterinburg in 1999 in connection with the establishment of the patronage of the administration of the Ural capital over it.
